Coney Island Film Festival
Branding / Typography / Photo Editing
My identity proposal for the Coney Island Film Festival starts with a flat rendering of a single frame of film. The simple rectangular shapes that allude to the film frame can be rotated, outlined, filled, and otherwise manipulated to expand on the system in many directions. I paired this with imagery from old horror movies, cheeky tagline-inspired language, and a saturated duotone color treatment to create a seductive, pulpy vibe that honored Coney Island’s “freakshow” cultural heritage.
